ROUTE 82 BIKE PATH APPEARS CERTAIN

East Marlborough officials this week agreed to fully fund the final design of a 1.1-mile bike path and two miles of sidewalk along route 82, from the Landhope store to the roundabout.

The vote was 3-2 with supervisors Weer and Hicks opposing it.

Traffic Planning and Design had submitted a revised proposal, providing for a not-to-exceed amount to fully complete the design; TP&D proposed $48,750, with $35,000 due as the work proceeds, and an additional $13,750 to be paid as impact fees become available.

The vote authorizes completion of the design.
